About the Practice
Women’s mental health is deeply influenced by biological, psychological, social, and cultural experiences. At The Women’s Psyche Society (TWPS), we recognize that no two women experience life or healing in the same way. From the unique presentation of symptoms to the complexities of female-specific mental health concerns, we believe compassionate, individualized care is essential for meaningful and lasting healing.
Our approach acknowledges the powerful role that relationships, cultural expectations, life experiences, and societal pressures can have on a woman’s emotional well-being. We are committed to providing care that is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique story.
At TWPS, you are more than a patient; you are a valued member of a supportive community. In addition to individual therapy services, we strive to create a space for connection, empowerment, and growth that extends beyond the therapy session itself. Our goal is to help you heal, build resilience, and feel supported at every stage of your mental health journey.
Hello! I’m Bianca, LCSW
Founder of The Women’s Psyche Society & Licensed Psychotherapist
Welcome, and thank you for visiting TWPS. My passion for women’s mental health began during my undergraduate studies, where I developed an interest in the social, psychological, and health-related issues impacting women.
As a first-generation Chaldean Iraqi American, I gained early insight into the complexities of identity, social expectations, and the stigma that can surround conversations about mental health within cultural communities.
Shortly after graduation, I worked at a women’s substance abuse rehabilitation center and later worked at a residential treatment facility for adolescent girls, where I supported survivors of trauma, including human trafficking.
These early experiences shaped my understanding of the unique challenges women face and the ways social, emotional, cultural, and systemic factors can impact mental health.
Over the years, my work continued across a variety of settings, including family prevention programs, nonprofit organizations, psychiatric facilities, and hospitals.
No matter the environment, one thing remained clear: women benefit from care that recognizes and honors their unique lived experiences.
Although there were moments throughout my career when I considered different paths, my passion for creating a practice centered on women’s healing never left me. That vision ultimately led to the founding of The Women’s Psyche Society, a space dedicated to compassionate, thoughtful, and individualized mental health care for women.
I appreciate you taking the time to learn more about our practice. It is an honor to do this work, and I look forward to continuing to build a society where women feel seen, supported, safe, and empowered throughout their healing journey.
